It's Giveaway Day!!

Yay!! It's the Sew Mama Sew giveaway day!!
(well actually it lasts all week! Make sure you check it out!)
I just love these! Yes, the chance to win some great prizes, handmade goods, supplies, etc are all great... but finding new blogs in the process is the best reward of all, I think!
I followed several last fall, and this spring that I continue to completely enjoy :)
And it's no fun if you're just talking into a big black void - right?  So the more the merrier!

Today I am giving away this quilted zipper pouch.
It's really nice and roomy for your cosmetics, or on the go sewing supplies and projects, or heck, throw a coin purse in there and use it as a clutch!

It's fully lined and quilted inside too :)

How do you win? Simple, leave me a comment telling me what you are giving to the man/men in your life this year  for Christmas? (seriously people I need ideas!!! LOL)
If that's too much of a stumper, like it is for me, what's your favorite inspiring quote or life motto?

PLEASE make sure you have an email address attached to your entry! No reply bloggers - leave your email in the comment box like this:  janedoe(at)yahoo(dot)com
This is sooo important! All no reply comments will not be entered!

For a second bonus entry, follow my blog :)
Leave a second comment saying that you're a follower.
That's it!

Giveaway is open until 8 pm on Friday December 7th. We'll draw a name using Random.org and announce the winner on Saturday. And I will email the winner :)

Thanks so much for stopping by to celebrate Giveaway Day 2012 with me, and good luck!

Entries are now closed for the giveaway!
Congratulations to Sara - Sew Distracted!!!

I love this little pouch!
This year everyone here is getting individual placemats, both men and women! My husband has long asked for a handmade tie, and he absolutely adores personalized T-shirts. His all time favourite was when I did "The Ribi of The Rings" T-shirt for him! That's a combination of his name and his favourite movie, The Lord of the Rings....

great little pouch. my inspirational motto: be generous.

I will probably make him an electronics pouch. He's an electrical engineering student & has to carry around a bunch of little wires & other stuff that I have no idea what they do! Ha.
Good luck & thanks!

That is darling! I am getting my husband undershirts, boxers, and socks haha. We're tight on extra money, and it's stuff he needs. Maybe I'll just wrap each individual item separately! :P

My guy is so hard to shop for, well at least for fun stuff. He is always in need of shirts, pants, socks, stuff like that, but hardly ever gives me any other ideas. This year I had pictures taken of the kids and me and I'm going to surprise him with it!

Andrea said...

this is so cute!!

not quite sure what to get my husband yet though he claims that the miter saw he just bought for himself counts as my gift... we bought a generator for my dad but the back-up gift idea was a set of whiskey glasses.

This is fabulous! For the men- terrible as always. My BF asked for new motorcycle boots (he sent me the link) so totally boring. I always make him a handmade ornament though to reflect whatever his current interest is- one year it was an ornament made with the evernote logo, one year it was the wifi symbol (with the national park ampitheater symbol on the other side because he used to get them confused), last year it was sons of anarchy, and this year I think it'll be a BMW ornament since he got a new BMW motorcycle. Good Luck!

Jane S. said...

This year I got my husband a weather station, one that tells indoor/outdoor temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, and windspeed. Me, I usually just look outside and figure that if it's wet it must be raining, but he loves to fuss around trying to figure out what the weather will be for the next week. :)

Thank you for the chance to win this cute bag!

This pouch is adorable! I need to practice my patchwork on something like this!

For the men in my life... well, I'm not sure yet. Last year, I gave my brothers and assortment of different kinds of gourmet popcorn kernels (for their stir crazy poppers) and giant popcorn buckets with filters in the bottom to "sift" out the seeds and some flavored sprinkles for the tops, too... oh, and some dill pickle flavored cashews (those were a total hit!). Otherwise, I usually go the shirt route. What about a car emergency kit or a nice first aid kit?

I am truly stumped about what to get my husband - I asked for ideas and have heard none yet (other than a winning lotto ticket!). I may need to read the comments myself to get some ideas! Thanks for the chance at your adorable bag!

well, it's probably too late for you to start, but I've been knitting a scarf. A 60" loooong scarf. Umm...how about you make a quilted fabric scarf? Or food...cookies always go well as gifts... books from amazon.com ... just a few of the guys in my life's favorite things...

The BF asked for a new wallet. Boring I know. I think I am going to add some gift cards to the new wallet just to make it fun!

Well I doubt this will help you for your man, but I am getting my husband a set of spoons for Christmas. I know it sounds weird but he is constantly complaining that there are never any spoons in the drawer, and "who took all the spoons". Like there is some little elf running around stealing spoons! Sheesh. So I figure it will make him happy to have "extra" spoons in the drawer LOL.

The pouch is brilliant and made with a great set of fabrics - thanks for the chance to win it! My man is getting a new outdoor coat for Christmas. He spends a lot of time for work outside so he is getting a really good waterproof, breathable one. An investment to last him years. I may also get him some mint chocolate as well!
