It's Giveaway Day!!

Yay!! It's the Sew Mama Sew giveaway day!!
(well actually it lasts all week! Make sure you check it out!)
I just love these! Yes, the chance to win some great prizes, handmade goods, supplies, etc are all great... but finding new blogs in the process is the best reward of all, I think!
I followed several last fall, and this spring that I continue to completely enjoy :)
And it's no fun if you're just talking into a big black void - right?  So the more the merrier!

Today I am giving away this quilted zipper pouch.
It's really nice and roomy for your cosmetics, or on the go sewing supplies and projects, or heck, throw a coin purse in there and use it as a clutch!

It's fully lined and quilted inside too :)

How do you win? Simple, leave me a comment telling me what you are giving to the man/men in your life this year  for Christmas? (seriously people I need ideas!!! LOL)
If that's too much of a stumper, like it is for me, what's your favorite inspiring quote or life motto?

PLEASE make sure you have an email address attached to your entry! No reply bloggers - leave your email in the comment box like this:  janedoe(at)yahoo(dot)com
This is sooo important! All no reply comments will not be entered!

For a second bonus entry, follow my blog :)
Leave a second comment saying that you're a follower.
That's it!

Giveaway is open until 8 pm on Friday December 7th. We'll draw a name using Random.org and announce the winner on Saturday. And I will email the winner :)

Thanks so much for stopping by to celebrate Giveaway Day 2012 with me, and good luck!

Entries are now closed for the giveaway!
Congratulations to Sara - Sew Distracted!!!

My husband asked for "cool t-shirts", which means I'm scouring Etsy and band websites. Men are tough!

The best two gifts I gave my husband (his assessment not mine) were both Shutterfly picture projects...a calendar with monthly pictures of his dog and a book with pictures from each of our 35 Christmas' together! Love your bag!! Thanks!!

Love your pouch! Great fabric selection. Men! It so hard to find gifts for them. Last year I made some kindle/ipad cases. This year, I'll try to find a nice scarf for my husband and maybe something for his garage. He spent all fall trying to organize it. So, I'll try to find something for it.

The two things I have for my boyfriend this year are a Zelda cross-stitch that I framed. He's a big video game nerd. And I'm making him a belt out of paracord that is practical for everyday but you can use it in a survival situation. He's into that survival stuff too. :)

I think I might get my husband a new watch for Christmas! Thanks for the giveaway! Amy @ gasudimack(at)sbcglobal(dot)net

Very cute! My husband and older sons really like my handknit socks, but unfortunately they take a long time. Custom boxer shorts in a fun fabric make a good gift if you have a pattern you like; they can go really fast and are always popular.

Hubby is getting some clothes, a NY Giants flag to hang out front on game day, a humidore, some jammy pants, an asparagus steamer and a radio that will also charge the batteries for his cordless drill.

Two best presents I've given him: Logitech Harmony touch screen remote - it does Everything! Other great gift: initial set up to brew beer. He's now been at it for 10 years and always needs new gear - makes shopping a bit easier :-)

Super cool pouch....the fabric is perfect!
For my husband...mmm, possibly a few different flavours of those Starbucks one cup instant coffee/mocha things. He loves coffee....so it's perfect for him.

Ha! We too are having problems with gifts for the hubby! One gift my daughter and I have been talking about getting is that bum cushion I saw on a commercial. He plays computer games and has a bad back, so we figured this cushion would be good for him. And speaking of that, I better take time out from blog hopping and order that Bum Cushion!!

First, I can totally relate to the comment by Kaynik whose husband thinks someone takes all the good spoons. That happens here, too--I have "big spoons for John" on my list. :) In addition to that, I'm making him a cherry stone heating pad for his sore shoulder and a little pouch for his ear buds.

Is it sad to say I have no idea yet what to get my guy? Seriously. Zip. Normally, he's not subtle on the wanting things but....this year? I just don't know!

Anonymous said...

Probably not typical, but I'm getting my husband a food processor (or maybe a meat slicer - he wants both). He's the primary food-creator in our house right now.

I'm giving him a rubik's cube and I'm going to teach him how to solve it. And a book I love. I dunno, I don't think I'm too good at this gifting boys thing.

Wow I love your zippy pouch! Awesome fabric choices. So I bought Neil Young's book Waging Heavy Peace, after seeing him interviewed on Jon Stewart. And I have just finished sewing him a long-sleeved button up shirt in Amy Butler's PINK soul Blossoms. Yup it's very pink and wallpaper looking, but he picked out the fabric himself - wild and crazy guy! Not sure this recommendation will be any help to you, but if you are inspired you can see it in my Instagram feed. (happysewlucky)
Thanks for taking the time to make something beautiful for a giveaway!

Gorgeous pouch -- love this style. I'm doing lots of food stuffs for men this year -- I asked the same question on Facebook, and that was the answer I got! That and beer. And puppies.

What a cute pouch, and I love the fabrics you chose. Thanks for a great giveaway! My bf is getting a large box of spices. He smokes and BBQs and can never find the right spices in bulk. So I got him a pound of each, which should last him quite a while.

This is an adorable pouch. Thanks for the giveaway! I am getting my hubby scotch, kind of boring but he appreciates it.

Love the pouch - thanks for the opportunity! I crocheted some cotton washcloths and made a bath set for my little niece - and that's what I'm giving to my brother. He's so hard to shop for that since he's a father now sometimes I cheat and give him gifts that are for his kid instead of for him. It still helps him out.
