OK... I know i have been out of the loop lately! This month has been the "run as fast as you can" month! I have just not stopped for the whole month of May! Praise God it's finally slowing down a bit! I should be posting more often now. :) Here's a little tidbit that i got in the mail this morning... and i am STILL laughing!!!!!! I've been using aluminum foil for more years than I care to remember. Great stuff, but sometimes it can be a pain. You know, like when you are in the middle of doing something and you try to pull some foil out and the roll comes out of the box. Then you have to put the roll back in the box and start over. The darn roll always comes out at the wrong time. Well, I would like to share this with you. Yesterday I went to throw out an empty foil box and for some reason I turned it and looked at the end of the box. And written on the end it said, "Press here to lock end". Right there on the end of the box is a tab to lock the roll in place. How long has this little locking tab been there? I then looked at a generic brand of aluminum foil and it had one, too. I then looked at a box of Saran wrap and it had one too! I can't count the number of times the Saran warp roll has jumped out when I was trying to cover something up. I gues you are never to old to learn something new. Mo !!!!!!! ??????? My jaw dropped, and i ran to check my saran and foil - and SURE ENOUGH!!! LOLOL Holy cow i feel ultra stupid! LOL! How LONG have those been there?? Now the question of the day... and even a poll! How many of you - honestly- knew about these??? :D xo bren

Okay, Bren, here I sit, going through the blogs since I'm still not mobile enough with the walker to get to church and then sit there for an hour. So I'm going to jump in and answer this one.

As someone who uses a LOT of foil (since I hate to wash casserole dishes, etc.) and have the same problem with the roll jumping out at me, I just had to get up and check my Reynold's Wrap and check this one out.

Well, shiver me timbers and knock me over with a feather, those little locking tabs are THERE!!! I never saw them before and I'd be curious as to how long the companies have been putting them on the ends of the boxes!?

My thanks to your friend Mo for mentioning this and thanks to you for putting it on your blog.

Bren and JoJo ~ I received a couple of emails about this and I didn't know it either. Wonder why it was such a well-kept secret!!! Pretty funny, isn't it? That's the wonderful thing about blogging ~ you can do public service announcements, too!

Cracked me up, Brenis! Of course, I had to stop reading and go check out my aluminum foil box...YUP, there they were! NEVER saw them before! This is way too funny!!! I'll have to pass this on and see if anyone I know knew of these tabs. Made my day, for sure!!! Thanks!

Well I never knew that but I'm upstairs and the kitchen is downstairs and I've had a tough day at work ... but I won't be able to resist a peep at my foil & clingfilm as we call it here in the UK next time I use it. And guess who I'll be thinking of!
