In the Pink give away

In the pink? What does that MEAN anyway??? Wonder where it originated from?
Oh well... no idea! LOL
Today however, I am giving away some extra pinks that I dyed up for my majolica rug. These are soft DIRTY pinks... although the ones on the left hand side are much lighter in value and not quite as dirty. They look fantastic next to dark browns!!! mmm mmm good!
Now for you hookers that think you don't like pink... remember i'm a true primitive girl.... you just haven't found the right pink!! There is such a thing as a BROWN pink - did you know that? And I'm here to testify that these are a primitive girl's best friend!! :D
Anyhow... today's goodies include all these pieces of dirty pink, and a piece of as is purple (w/gold flecks) .. i didn't measure them out, but i think it's over a half a yard... and these little wooden fraktur eggs to fill one of your bowls. I'm thinkin' SPRING here people!!!
Here they are on my boring beige carpet, so you can see them more accurately.....
Now.. i dyed these FOR ME. And i did it in the late evening after camp ... and i raced outa here the next morning and forgot them in the dryer. So they came out a bit wrinkled. And since they were for me (wool in any form is GOOD me thinks) it didn't bother me! But now that I am passing them onto someone else, I have a little case of the guilts... they are not all pristine and perfect. gulp. Do you mind? I suppose i could iron them for you... but somehow i just don't like how wool looks and feels when it's been ironed.. so i'll leave that to you, if you must have wrinkle free wool!
To enter to win this little batch of goodies, leave me a comment (it's getting a little harder now) telling me how you see God working in your life. Do you SEE His handprints? I know I do!
Take a few minutes to glorify Him!! And you might just be the lucky winner of this give-away!! (Oh... did I mention I frequently put extra goodies in my packages?? :D )
Ok, that's it for today... I will pull the winner for this prize Friday morning! And maybe by then I will have my two other hand made goodies finished and ready to put up for some lucky winner! (hints... one is round, and one is not, but both are made of wool...)
And last but not least... i am mostly finished with my majolica rug. I still need to run one or two outer rows around the whole thing, steam it and bind it. And i,m really trying to like that odd ball leaf... but so far... not so much. :( So that will probably be getting replaced before i totally finish it off.
Hope you have a tasty fun day today - and see God eveyrwhere you look today!!
Bright blessings, Bren :) I read this today, and love how this man writes! Thought it might lift you up to a different level of thought, like it did me... http://dougapple.blogspot.com/2009/05/lets-lift-name-of-jesus-just-as-high-as.html

The pinks are very purdy, Bren! Wrinkles & all! :) The eggs are beautiful too. You are so generous! I would LOVE to be included in the giveaway.

Where do I see God? Oh goodness... everywhere! But, probably the most prominent is when I see my lil'guy enjoying & learning about life. Seeing the glimmer in his eye and a smile on his face... God has given me the most wonderful gift... letting me be a Mom. <3

Smiles,

Betty

Wrinkled wool doesn't look wrinkled once it's hooked - so no problem! Our family has been so blessed to never have experienced any kind of financial difficulties - hope it continues!

I won the first give-a-way so please don't enter me in this one...Give everyone a chance to win your wonderful goodies. I just wanted to tell you how Blessed I've been. God not only sent a wonderful man into my life after my husband died but this man loved my children like his own and went on with me to adopt the two precious children we are now raising. He allowed my 83 year old father to come back from a sever heart attack so that we can enjoy him and his wisdom for a little longer. How could we not feel Blessed and know His love? Hugs, Sher

I can say the one thing I do know. When I say, I can't do any more, I have to trust God, he always takes care of things when we can't.

Hey Breni...don't enter me in this giveaway, either. Just wanted to share (what you already know) how I see God working in my life. I am a different person than I was 3 years ago. These words by Casting Crown's 'Voice of Truth' say it all: "...To step out of my comfort zone Into the realm of the unknown where Jesus is And He's holding out His hand..."

My eyes are open wider, my heart is more full, and I hear God's whispers. I see His handiwork in everything around me...I see His glory. I praise God everyday for His guidance...the places He is leading me...the people He is leading TO me. It is awesome to feel His love...His presence in my life. I trust Him and know that with Him, everything will be good. My life is easier because I look to Him, my Father, for answers. I give thanks to Him for you...

Thank you for the thought-provoking 'requirements' to enter your giveaways this week. Lovin' you.

He must be looking over my shoulder because He allows me to maintain some semblance of sanity when my life seems like it is more than I can handle.
I'm not a "pink" person either, but I could handle your version of pink!

WEll, gosh, Bren, I can't tell that it is wrinkled...:)

I can see the works of God everyday in my life...I begin the day by thanking him that I am able to wake up, get up and go to work being a nurse, where I see him giving people the will to live, to get up and go again in spite of it all...I see his work in the beauty of nature, the bluest of skys, the greenest of trees, the warmth of the sun on my face...the artwork of the flowers...

ooooh...pink is a yummy to color to hook with!!! my Olivia needs a girly rug and this pink would be purr-fect for it...

Where do I see God? I am fortunate to see him guide the hands and eyes of a cardio-thoracic surgeon as he repairs a dissecting aorta in surgery...in the hugs the EMT's give their special needs patients when the drop them off for their exams...I see Him in Jose...the best patient care assistant any hospital could ask for...

I could go on and on...I see the blessings of God daily while working in the hospital...sometimes taking people home, sometimes letting their families have a few last minutes or hours with them...

Hi Bren-

I see God in my daughter! And I see him working through her to touch me. I have learned so much about patience. Now, don't get me wrong, I still have a long way to go! I find myself thinking a lot about God as I parent. When I think about how much I love my daugher, I'm blown away by the love God has for each and everyone of us. When I've had one of those days and find my patience slipping away, it makes me think how much patience God has with me. When I "lecture" Emmeline, I have one of those out-of-body experiences and find myself needing to apply the same issues in my life. God is sooo good! His mercies are new every morning. We just need to remember to look for them!

Love how your rug is turning out and I kind of like your "wonky" leaf!

Blessing to you, my friend!

I have been having a bad few months and I keep going back to his plan for me and trust that all will be OK. I believe.
Your wool is great! I went to Karen's lecture on Monday evening and fell in love with her rugs. I think you are right on with the colors. I love your rug and would definitely leave the wonky leaf. It is charming.

I see God working in my life through all the good people He's put into my life. Just reading the other comments you can tell it's all about people, kindness and love for one another.
It's that warm fuzzy feeling that you just KNOW that He is there no matter what!

Oh I just LOVE that pink! Wrinkled or not, it is the perfect prim pink!

I know God surrounds me simply because even in my darkest hours... I always have faith that after I have learned the lesson, light will appear again. That's why we are here... to learn, love and respect.
